Yes, you read it correctly.

Schools to remove all school subjects, what will the students learn, then? The head of the Department of Education in Helsinki shared that while teaching in the old-fashioned way was beneficial in the past, new teaching methods will have to be developed for different needs in the 21st century.

So, instead of formally learning individual subjects, students will study phenomenona and events which relate to a few subjects. For example, taking the course ‘Working in a Cafe’ will enable students to learn about the English language, economics, and communication skills, to name a few.

What do you think? Should we still learn the old-fashioned way, or do we need to find new ways of learning to fit the different needs in this era?

If you’re interested to learn the new way, don't worry, you don't have to move to Finland. In fact, you can do it through Freeboh and earn money at the same time!
